Sunset at M.O.A.

Yesterday I went to Mall of ASIA (MOA) to meet some guys who do HDR (High Dynamic Range) Photography, the guys are friendly and they even set up a small lecture on how to use Photomatix,A software used for doing HDRs, for some of the Hobbyist who attended.

Yesterdays' sunset was beautiful because it was not so cloudy, so instead of composing some shots for the HDR I did some exercise for my self, I tried shooting different looks of the sunset yeasterday, and with a little luck I have this shots.

Looking Back

Last Holy Week I went home to my Home Town and we went to the beach, Sta Ana Cagayan. As a photography Hobbyist, I will not let a day past, specially a vacation like this, without taking any picture.


It's only today that I have looked back at my shots and have some time Processing them. I am glad that i have filtered some usable picts. =) because back then I was Trigger Happy and my ratio for good to bad shots is like 50 is to 10 hehehe...

Manila Bay Night Scape in Blue

One of the favorite Spots of Newbie Photography Hobbyist like me is at the manila bay, Specially at sunset, So i have to think of something else so that my shot will not be similar to the thousand of images shot at this site....


I remembered, one of the challenges gave by one of my proffesors at FPPF, Prof. Cecilia is to shoot a night scape with a blue sky. So i tried to shoot at the back of MOA and hope and pray that i can do the shot because "luckily" i dont have my tripod with me =(....

No post Processing except for the 4rth image which i brighten a little...

NightScape FPPF Assignment A.K.A. SOMETIMES

Yesterday one of my classmate at FPPF invited us to join him shooting at PICC, since we are dismissed erlier than expected I joined, first stop was bayview at around 3:30 and went to break waters after 2 hours and guess what we stayed there until past 9.

I have learned a few things
1. Longer exposure sometimes is interesting for nightscapes

2. Bring a tripod.

3. Always check your settings, I sometimes adjust my ISO depending on the situation, and sometimes forget to reset it again after a few shooting. and last night Since i was excited on shooting what is interesting, I sometimes only focus on the shutter and my apperture. and because of that sometimes hehehe look at my picts below ..... GRAINY =P

Sunset at MOA

We went to MOA yesterday to shoot the sunset, but we where unlucky because it was too cloudy and it looks like its raining. below are some of my shoots 200 in all i think hehehe I did not include the Sunset Pictures because i have seen a lot of similar images already =).


Lessons Learned:

1. The cloud pattern suddenly changes including the reflections of the suns rays. Keep an eye for those beautiful patterns.

2. The golden hour is indeed just a few minutes. Focus on the subject (sunset) because sometimes there are a lot of things around you that might caught your attention. So If the sunset is your subject and project. Focus on the sunset.
